Holiday Stamp-A-Stack

These are the cards I did for this years Holiday stamp-a-stack. I had a great turn out of stampers a couple weeks ago and have another small group getting their cards down this weekend. This year I went with an ornament theme and used the Delightful Decorations and Ornament punch from the SU! Holiday mini catalog. They had the option of pre-ordering both items ahead of time so they could use their own stamp set and punch at the event and continue making more at home. Happy Holidays!

The last two cards I borrowed ideas from Splitcoast, sorry I can't remember who the designers were, but thank you! :o) The turkey card I cased from 321Stamp, click here.

Mojo Monday #109

Hi! It's been awhile since I've done a challenge, so I thought I'd jump back in with the Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I used one of the new hostess stamp sets from Stampin' Up's Holiday Mini Catalog, Patterned Pines. I stamped the trees in Real Red, sponged Frost White Shimmer Paint then stamped the image. It gives the image a shimmery softer look, hopefully you can see that in the picture.

Mini Envelope Album

Hi! Boy it's been awhile since my last post. We just got back from our stamping cruise and thought I'd share one of the projects we did. There was 20 of us stampers that went and we had a fabulous time. The weather was absolutely gorgeous! We never know what the weather's going to do around this time of year so we were really lucky. It's a long weekend getaway, we don't go far but it's still alot of fun. We set sail from Seattle, head up to Canada and stop at Victoria, then onto Nanaimo and back to Seattle.

So, here's one project my upline, Nancy, demonstrated. I just love this little project and it really isn't all that difficult to make. There's a great tutorial over on Inking Addict Designs, click here. Nancy made a few small changes, like making it about half the size but it's pretty much the same as the tutorial. I'll post more projects later. :o)

Hi, my stamp club started over the weekend and this is the project we went with. Perfect for starting the school year off, so there were several girls that joined their moms in making this cute backpack.

I found a template and instructions on Splitcoast, here. One change I made in the box part was using the Fancy Favor Die. It was the perfect dimensions to fit the flap and pocket. These are perfect to hold little treats or a gift card in. Have fun!

Hodgepodge

Hello, I thought I'd share a few things I've worked on this past week and just didn't get around to posting. The card was made for a swap I took part in at a team meeting. I think Bella Bleu DSP is going to be one of my new favorites, I just love the color and design.

The votives below I used for practicing glass etching. I couldn't believe how easy this was. I created stencils using the big shot, vinyl, and the butterfly and daisies dies. I just picked up a bottle of glass etching from a craft store, brushed it on after applying the stencil, waited a few minutes, washed off the glass etching cream and there you have it. That simple! I wanted to see how they'd look with a looking color added to them, so i used crystal effects and micro beads. I think they turned out pretty cute. I'm sure you'll see more projects in the future from me using this technique. :o)
Today I have spent most of the day cleaning up my stamp room. Boy, was it a disaster, I was having trouble finding things, so it needed a good cleaning. I finally put up the Create from decor elements. I think I've had this for a year now and never got around to putting it up. I need to put more of these up, they look pretty cool. Oh, and there's my cute little kitty (Carmela) in the picture, she loves laying across my work table. :o)

Mojo Monday #101

It's been awhile since I participated in Mojo Monday, so I put together this quick card. Had to try out a new stamp set, C is for Cat, and the P is for Paw wheel. Just too cute, reminds me of my two kitties. I added a little bling around the cats neck using dazzling diamonds glitter (another one of my favorites :o) and a rhinestone brad for the center of the button (designer button sherbet). Thanks for looking!

SU! Convention 2009

Hello! Well I'm back from another fabulous trip to Salt Lake City for the Stampin' Up! convention. Like always it's so much fun to hang out with your friends and meet new ones. Also, to recognize and meet some of the demos you see on your favorite blogs. The excitement was in full force like usual and the swapping non-stop. I'm still amazed every year as to how much time some of those ladies put into swapping. Looks like some of them come with several hundreds. I'm lucky to get about 100 done :o).

SU! has some exciting new products coming out soon. First is the My Digital Studio, OMG! I have a feeling this is going to be a big seller, more to come on this later. Or, how about Build-A-Bear, yep, that's right, SU! has teamed up with Build-A-Bear -Stamps, Dies, DSP and while there we got to buy our own SU! exclusive Build-A-Bear, see picture below, isn't she adorable? And, one more item from Shelly's collection, Simply Adorned Charms where you can insert your own custom artwork. They can be worn on a chain or used as ornaments. I can't wait to get one.

Here's a picture of one Shelly showed during one of the sessions. As you can see it was taken off the big screen. But aren't those just too cool? :o)

Well, I know I said I was going to post pictures of my swaps before I left but as you can see that didn't happen, so here they are.

This is one of my new favorite stamp sets, Happy Together and Circle Circus. I just love those cute little quail. Doesn't it totally remind you of the Partridge Family? I think I just aged myself with that. :o)

As some of you know, snowman are my favorite during the holiday season. So, this one is made using one of the new hostess sets, The More The Merrier, and the Oval and Snowflake die for the Big Shot.

This one is using some of the new DSP, Cottage Wall and the new Butterfly punch. I used crystal effects and green micro beads on the butterfly.
I have lots more to share about convention, so stay tuned. :o)
