Bikes, Scoops and Eclipse

I can't believe I've gone this long without posting anything. It's just been one of those summers so far....still lots of baseball going on, craziness at work, and most importantly my oldest son graduated from high school, woohoo! it's still so hard to believe he's all grown up, but he's sooooo glad to be done.

Oh Oh, I almost forgot.....Eclipse is out and I've already seen it twice :o) I went to the opening midnight showing, got 1 1/2 hours of sleep as I had to be at work that morning, but it was totally worth it, LOL! I know I'm obsessed but I think this was the best one yet.

But anyway, the new Stampin'Up! catalog is out and full of lots of new products and ideas. I seem to always go mad when it first arrives...first check out what new accessories are in the back of the catalog, then start my wish list, then start grazing over every page checking out all the great ideas and samples they've created, then I got back and start checking out all the stamp sets and adding to my wish list. I know, it probably sounds odd but that's the way I do it :o)

I've had these two new stamp sets for a while now and finally had a chance to play with them. Here's a couple quick samples I made up. Enjoy, and I hope you all had a fun and safe 4th!

Vintage Vogue and Edward

Hello, hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and New Year. It's hard to believe we're starting a new year, doesn't it seem like they're just flying by....is that the sign of old age or life is just too busy? Well, whatever it is I'm looking forward to having a great year and I hope you all are too.

I was so excited today, I finally got to break out my new stamps from the Occasions mini catalog and play. I had to give these clear mount stamps a try and they were awesome. Just like using the woodblock stamps. These are definitely going to help if you've got space or storage issues :0) I hope you take some time and peruse through the new mini catalog, there are some fabulous stamps and accessories in there that I know you'll love. Okay, I have to share with you what my lovely sister surprised with at work. I'm in my managers office discussing something and I turn around and see my niece, who's 7, standing there with a big smile on her face. I'm like, what are you doing here and then in walks my sister with Edward! Oh geez, I pretty much screamed and then shut the door on them because I was soooooo embarrassed. But anyhoo, everyone enjoyed having him part of our work day, it was pretty funny listening to the comments from all the women walking by to check him out. I brought him home in fear of someone nabbing him. So, he's in my stamp room watching over me while I stamp:o) and freaking out my sons everytime they walk in, LOL!

Twilight Getaway

Hello! Well, I just got back from a little Twilight weekend. My husband put together this little getaway to Forks with all the different stops and sites to see. We had a great time. I was laughing constantly at all the craze and the people that had come from all over to this little town just to see all the Twilight sites. It was absolutely crazy! :o)

I finally had to start writing down all the license plates of the different states driving through. Here's just a little list of what I caught - Idaho, Utah, Alabama, Colorado, New Jersey, Oregon, California, Indiana, Texas, Michigan, Oklahoma, Alaska, British Columbia & Alberta Canada. Isn't that just crazy, LOL! We'd see cars full of teenage girls piling out at all the different stops, but it just wasn't teenage girls, there were women of all ages and they were cracking up over it all too. Well, hope you enjoy some of the pictures below of all the different Twilight sites.

Here's the B&B we stayed at, the Miller Tree Inn, also known as The Cullen House. It's a great place to stay and close to all the Twilight sites. You can check them out here. Twilighters would come right up onto the porch and peer in and take pictures.

It was sunny and hot Saturday, but come night-time the lightning & thunder came rolling in. I could've sworn I heard the Cullen's playing baseball, but then remembered they were in Montana hunting bears. sigh...

Sunday, we were off to LaPush and First Beach. It was cool and windy, but a great beach!

Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge #32 - Twilight

Alright, so I'm a HUGE Twilight fan! LOL, like so many of you I'm sure. :o) My friend called me last night and told me I had to check out this challenge, click here, and design a card for it. I had such a hard time coming up with something for some reason. So, as my son is playing baseball in the rain as we speak, I got this idea to do something with baseball since that's something the Cullen's like to do. I added a little bling on the baseball cap to make a 'C' for Cullen, added the heart on the baseball and then the quote from Edward when Bella asked him about vampires liking baseball? So, there you have it :o) Thanks for looking.

Snow & Twilight

Well, here's just a little of what Seattle has been hit with these past few days. I'm sure some of you are use to weather like this, but we just don't get snow like this, it's been crazy! Yes, we gets lots in the mountains but not down here. These are pictures from the other day but we probably got about a foot of snow altogether. This has not helped with my Christmas shopping I still need to do :o). I'm such a chicken when it comes to driving in the snow, plus it's been in the 20's so everthing is icey too. We just don't get something like this but maybe every 10 - 15 years. When we do get snow it's here for a day and gone by the next. But, this year we may just have a White Christmas...we'll see. I have more pictures I'll try and post later. It really is beautiful, but I'm done with it!

Atleast with being stuck at home I finally finished the Twilight series...YAY! Now I really want to go back and see the movie again and can't wait for the next movie to be released in another year or so. I have a friend that lives in Forks and she and the locals just find it hilarious with all the tourists passing through. I guess people are coming from all over just to see the high school and Bella's house. It's such a dinky town there's really not much to see or do, but it's been hopping lately :o). I've actually been through that town years ago on a camping trip we took. It is beautiful country.

Twilight and Noel

I'm finally back to my blog. Geesh, the time just flew by and I'm in no way ready for Christmas. I have several projects I need to finish for gifts and still need to make my cards too! Ugh! Oh well, we always seem to find the time to finish everything and pull our hair out at the same time, LOL! But, I do have a confession I've been totally wrapped up in the Twilight series. OMG! I picked up the first book in the airport on my way to Idaho wondering what all the hype was about the movie, well I totally got hooked! I haven't been able to resist reading atleast a little of it every day. I just finished the 3rd book last night and picked up the 4th one on my way home from work today. So, I'll be hitting the book again tonight, LOL! I did see the movie after I finished the 1st book and thought it was cute, totally in love with Edward Cullen, hee hee! My two teenage boys just roll their eyes and laugh at me whenever they see me engulfed in my book. Oh well...are any of you as hooked as I am? LOL!

I managed to make it to our Group Stamp Holiday Party last week and here's a picture of a project we did. Isn't it just cute....and a quick and easy project too. Makes a perfect little gift. The square frames were from Ikea and then we used the Big Shot and alphabet die for the letters, Holiday Treasures DSP and an assorment of SU! ribbons.
