Harvest stamp camp

Here's more from my last stamp camp. This first one we got to use the new letterpress plates, which is pretty cool. I used craft ink for this one, but I've heard the classic ink works just as well if not better. I love punches, so of course I just had to get the bat punch.

This design I found on Splitcoast, but I added the ribbon and used the decorative label punch and pearl. I used the Rock'n Roll method for stamping the leaves.

And lastly, here's a little favor bag or luminaire we made using the Fancy Favor die. Punched out a circle using the 1"3/4" circle punch, and added a piece of vellum cardstock that had been run through the Big Shot using the Web embossing folder. Added a bat that was covered with Chuncky Black glitter and tied Raven lace trim around it.

hallo-scream!

Last weekend I had a, Harvest Stamp Camp, making Halloween and Thanksgiving Day cards. I've been so swamped with work lately that I haven't been real creative coming up with ideas. So, I got some great ideas looking through Split Coast Stampers. I didn't keep track of who I took ideas from, but still want to shout out a big Thank you!!

I'll share a couple with you today and post more later. Enjoy!

Love these ghosts!! All you need is the Owl Punch, how cool is that? :o)

Love, Love, Love the Spider Web embossing folder!! My photo isn't real good, but I spritzed the web with Silver Foil Smooch Spritz. This was my first time using the spritz. I like how it looks, but it's a little messy and tends to clog, so you just have to have patience when using it. :o)

Pansies

Last month I finally got around to making these cute pansies using the butterfly punch. I've seen so many posts with these flowers and when I saw my upline Nancy had post a couple 'How-to' links on her site, I just had to give it a try. I was amazed how easy they were to make, and no two will ever look alike. You have to give it a try, go to her site here to view the videos. Enjoy!

Mojo Monday

It's been awhile since I've done a Mojo Monday sketch, click here to see what this weeks sketch is. I used a new SU! stamp set for this card, Artistic Etchings. For all you Paris lovers this might be a set you need to add to your collection. I can rarely do a card without using the Big Shot, so I used the Ovals Die and the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. Love Love Love the embossing folders, just adds so much to the card and it's so easy :o). Another favorite of mine are the Rhinestone Jewels, I was so very happy SU! now have these available. Woo hoo!

Woo hoo an Award!!

It was so nice to open my email and see that one of my good stampin buddies had sent me this Stylish Blogger Award. I never win anything, ha ha, just had to say that. But anyway, thank you Nancy for this wonderful surprise, it definitely made my day! You can check out Nancy's fabulous blog here

So now you need to share 5 'stylish' things about yourself. Oh my, I don't really see myself as stylish but here goes it...

~ I can never have too many pairs of tennis shoes... I probably have a style and color that could go with any outfit.

~ With my kids older now, I downsized my wheels from a SUV to a cute bright green VW beetle bug with a tangerine tango color gerbera daisy in the vase.

~ Diamonds are a girls best friend, need I say more? Oh, even if it's a tiny nose stud :o)

~ I love smelly lotions and candles, especially tropical scents.

~ And, of course I can't leave out one of my obsessions....I have something on me at all times that has to do with Twilight, whether it be a bracelet, t-shrit, tote, book, picture and so on.

Now it's my turn to forward this Stylin award onto....

Steph - her cards are so cute and fun! Dannie - Her blog is what inspired me to start my own, Thanks! Krissie - is so creative with her designs Dana - has the cutest grandkids! Sam - so creative whether it's cards or jewelry

Bikes, Scoops and Eclipse

I can't believe I've gone this long without posting anything. It's just been one of those summers so far....still lots of baseball going on, craziness at work, and most importantly my oldest son graduated from high school, woohoo! it's still so hard to believe he's all grown up, but he's sooooo glad to be done.

Oh Oh, I almost forgot.....Eclipse is out and I've already seen it twice :o) I went to the opening midnight showing, got 1 1/2 hours of sleep as I had to be at work that morning, but it was totally worth it, LOL! I know I'm obsessed but I think this was the best one yet.

But anyway, the new Stampin'Up! catalog is out and full of lots of new products and ideas. I seem to always go mad when it first arrives...first check out what new accessories are in the back of the catalog, then start my wish list, then start grazing over every page checking out all the great ideas and samples they've created, then I got back and start checking out all the stamp sets and adding to my wish list. I know, it probably sounds odd but that's the way I do it :o)

I've had these two new stamp sets for a while now and finally had a chance to play with them. Here's a couple quick samples I made up. Enjoy, and I hope you all had a fun and safe 4th!

May Stamp Club

Hello all! I thought I'd share this month's club project. I've been wanting to try out the chalkboard vinyl, so here it is. I found sheets of metal flashing (12"x 8") at the local hardware store, bent them about 3" in to create an easel. It bends pretty easily, just be careful with the edges because they are sharp :o) Then, we covered them with DSP, used the Big Shot and Scallop circle die to cut out the vinyl, and decorated magnets using an assortment of punchs and brads to make flowers. I loved how these turned out, and plan to make more. Enjoy!

Fabric Project Swap

I thought I'd share with you a project I did for a swap I just participated in. We had to make something using the Big Shot and fabric. I've seen so many cool fabric projects alot of you have done, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

My project was napkin rings, using the Bigz XL Flower Folds die. Here's a link to a video by the Stamp Shack Lady I came across on assembling the flowers. It just required a little bit of sewing, not difficult at all. Then, I used SU! corduroy buttons and beads from the Pretties Kit to accessorize the flowers. The ring I made using wire and beads (from a craft store) and stitched it to the flower. I thought these would be so cute for a lady's tea party or luncheon.
Have a good week!

Spring Stamp Club

Well, it's been a few weeks since I posted anything. Too many things going on so instead of boring you with details I'll share with you what we did at this months Stamp club. The girls wanted to do some all occasion cards and use the bleach technique as well. So here you have it.
I've loved all the fish cards out there using the Delightful Decorations set and punch. So many of them had purchased this set I thought this was perfect to share this idea with them. It was a big hit too :o)

Here's the card using the Bleach Technique. This is so simple and I love how the affect on the card stock.
Another WOW I had to share with them. Using the flashing with the Big Shot to create this butterfly. Using the embossing folders work so easily with the flashing too, and looks so cool.

This card I cased from another SU! demonstrator. I loved it. The only thing I added was embossing the background. It's just so simple and clean.

Another simple card, using circle punches to create a simple flower and accessorize it with a corduroy brad. Love the Bella Bleu DSP too.
YAHOO! Time to go watch New Moon, LOL! Got my copy today!!
Have a great weekend!

Flower Tealights

Aren't these fabulous! I can see several of these all lined up on a mantle, a shelf, or on a dinner table. But they're even perfect just all by itself. This project is so simple, all you need is The Big Shot, Bigz XL Flower Folds, and Flashing from your local hardware store. Also, they're fine as is or dress them up with some accessories. Have fun!

Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge #66 - Clueless

This was a fun challenge, total girlie-girl, and I totally forgot about all the plaid that was worn in this movie.. So I went with a fancy shopping bag and bag charm. I figure the stores and boutiques Cher shops at probably has some fancier bags. This plaid paper really reminds me of Burberry :o).

I have to say as I re-watched the movie yesterday that it made me a little sad. I was always a big fan of Brittany Murphy, so sad she passed at such a young age.

Here's what the charms say, 4 You, love, friends, a heart and crown.
All SU! Supplies used.
